Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Europe, Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on a unified platform in Europe showed varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for these leading apps.

Google Maps saw a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting at 743K at the end of March and peaking at over 1M by the end of June. Weekly active users also increased gradually, reaching approximately 77.4M by the last week of June.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent upward trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 313K in late March and climbing to around 447K by the end of June. The app's weekly active users also grew, reaching about 17.5M in the final week of June.

Yandex Maps & Navigator had steady weekly revenue, peaking at $4.4K in early April. Downloads rose significantly from 258K at the end of March to 356K by the end of June. Active users increased from 12M to approximately 13.3M over the same period.

Yandex Navi – navigation, maps showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching about $12.1K by the end of June. Weekly downloads also grew from 204K at the end of March to 265K by the end of June. The app's active users increased from 4.4M to approximately 5.3M during this quarter.

Google Earth maintained a stable download rate, starting at 247K in late March and ending at 198K in late June. Weekly active users also showed a slight increase, peaking at around 2.1M by mid-June.
